We ask you to confirm your desire to subscribe in order to avoid malicious subscriptions (spammers, spoofers, etc.).
You will receive an automated reply to your subscription request. Follow the instructions in the reply. (Note: some mail transfer agents with spam-blocking software may block the automated reply. If you fail to receive a reply, send a message postmaster(at)kerndt(dot)com, who will help resolve the problem.)
Your subscription request will be forwarded to the list administrator(s), who will acknowledge your subscription request and add your address to the list. This step is not instantaneous. Depending on the availability of an administrator, it may take anywhere from minutes to days. Thanks in advance for your patience.
You will receive a welcome message with information on the list, how to use it, and how to change options. Your subscription is complete.

You will receive an automated reply, asking you to confirm your desire to unsubscribe. (We do this in case a third party attempts to unsubscribe you without your permission.) Follow the instructions in the reply. You will receive an acknowledgement of your unsubscribe.
ba-poker is available in digest format. Messages are collected and sent in a single message. While this will not reduce the volume of mail you receive, it will reduce significantly the total number of messages.

ba-poker digest subscribers should change the Subject: of replies to be more informative. (Use the subject of the particular message to which you reply.)
The list software strips attachments and HTML.
