[ba-poker] OT: A benefit concert put on by JR and LeeJ, Sunday May 16th

Hi folks -
This is grossly OT, but it's for a good cause, so...

Many of you know that John Reed abandoned the Silicon Valley world do some actual Good in the world at Sacred Heart Community Service in San Jose.

In the meantime, I have gathered together a little acoustic band.  Looking for a place to test out our skills in public, I approached JR about doing a benefit concert for SHCS.  Thanks to JR's hard work, it's happening, this Sunday (May 16th) at Sacred Heart Community Service, on South First in San Jose.

We're doing songs by Lyle Lovett, Dixie Chicks, Kathy Mattea, Jefferson Airplane, and a couple of bluegrass standards.  Opening for us is Sherry Austin (for whom we really should be opening), a very well known and talented SCruz-based singer-songwriter.

Show is at 3:00 PM.  Tickets are $13, all of which goes to SHCS.

Come on out, support a good cause, support live music, support JR and Lee, and have a blast.
