[ba-poker] An interesting incident

Here's something that happened in our lunchtime game today. I'm
teaching a group at work to play holdem (mostly limit with the
occasional dab at no-limit). Just for fun, no money.

Hand X: It's just the big blind and button in an unraised pot (I'm
not in the hand, just watching). Flop is 5-K-K. BB bets. He's
a notorious bluffer, so he could have anything. Button calls.
Turn is 5. BB bets, button raises, re-rai, 4-bet, call. I'm
putting the BB on a king (he won't reraise without a real hand),
and the button on a 5 (who I think doesn't think the BB has a king).
River is blank. There's table talk and it's checked around. BB
has KTs, button shows presto for quads and takes the pot.

Hand X+1: BB is now the small blind, and it's him and the new
button. SB is short-stacked and they get it all-in preflop. They
turn them up: SB has A2o, button has 99. Flop is 9-2-9. We award
the pot right then.

That's the first time I've seen back-to-back quads. Worse, the
same player lost to them both times.

Jeff
