There is a tournament series to be held at Havey's 10/24-10/29. They are being
"promoted" by Harray's and Clear Channel Radio Hosts. All of the events but
the last one are 200+25. The last public event is 300+30. If you want to play
you have to preregister by calling 1-800-367-9544 and prepaying[1]. I was told
there would be no on site satellites or registration.
The structure is fast[2] with 30 minute rounds. There is a funny statement
made that the "tournament will consist of at least 9 rounds". So if I bust in
second during the 8th round that means?
The tournaments are:
10/24 NLHE
10/25 LHE*
10/26 PLHE*
10/27 LO*
10/28 LHE*
10/29 NLHE* (300+30)
10/30 NLHE**
* These structure charts all mention "invited" participants. I really doubt
they would turn anybody away, but I don't know that.
** This is an invited only 25K guaranteed event that I know little about. I've
been told it has the same structure as the other NLHE events.
I see very little reason to attend any of these events unless you plan on being
in Tahoe at the same time (FWIW I probably won't play in any of them). This
bodes oh so well for Harrah Entertainment's plans on how to run the WSOP tour.

[1] The last time to do this appears to be 0900 on the day of the tournament.
[2] In the first NLHE event the structure is: 10-20, 25-50, 50-100, 100-200/25,
200-400/50, 50-1000/100, 1000-2000/200, 2000-4000/500, 4000-80000/1000, double
until finish.
