I've eaten hundreds of meals at GC that did not involve poker.
I celebrated my 30th birthday there (surprise party, thrown by
JK, I still have the menu with the bday wish on it). I had my
wedding rehearsal dinner there (ditto on still having the menu).

I would stop by in the morning for a prime rib sandwich to-go
and bring it to work for lunch.

It went downhill when they went bankrupt and the comptroller
took over. But before that, it was easily one of the 5 best
restaurants in San Jose.
