Re: [ba-poker] You've got to know when to play crap

Quick asked why QQ was missing.

Yeah, I sometimes raise with QQ. It's rare, but I do it.
I didn't want Bill to know my whole strategy :-)

Sometimes I follow through with a $10 flop bet at the $12 pot and win too.

Once in a blue moon, the flop hits my J2o or 93o and I trounce
some poor schmuck with TT or QQ also.

Nope. I pretty much make the play once per session. Usually in the
first 1/2 hour or hour, but not always.

It works wonderfully if I happen to get AA or KK in the next few hands.

I really think it does have value. People notice it.
They type stuff in the chat window like "Just try that again" etc.

I want them to fold when I raise with crap.
I want them to call when I have AA or KK.

So I wait for a good spot to raise with J2o, watch everyone fold
and then show it. I imagine some of the players writing notes:
"Raised to $5 with J2o"
Maybe three sessions later they'll see me raise to $5 again, they'll
check their notes and jam with JJ. If I have 93o, I fold.
If I have AA or KK, I call. They win $5 or lose $40. Pretty cool.

I haven't been playing any no-limit ring games lately, but this
play worked very well for me in 2003. I like to play four games
at once. No-limit ring games take too much concentration.

Think about this... what's your counter-strategy against me?
Only call my raises with pairs and only continue if you flop a set?
How do you play KK if I raise?
