Wow. I left about 9:30. or maybe it was just the 2 tables
I was at. The game was moving at a tremendous pace. There
was one fellow who was a bit befuddled all the time and to
add to that was sitting in the 1 seat (couldn't see the 10
seat act). Every time he would take more than 5 seconds to
act one or two of the players who seemed to know him would
say "c'mon Tony, we're payin time here".
We did have one delay with one dealer who wasn't that good.
10 seat gets up and says "deal me in" as the dealers change
and take the time. New dealer starts chatting and deals the
guy out. He misses his big blind. He returns after the first
round of betting has started and throws a small fit (he'd
been getting hammered for a while and was not in the best
of moods). Dealer says "I didn't hear you with all the noise,
yada, yada". Player gripes a bit more, then......
Dealer says "It's OK honey, save you money"...... ding! I
almost spit up my mouthful scotch and soda. The guy was
pretty sharp and reacted as expected. The dealer was clueless
as to what she had said and repeated it. It was worth the
wait. Can't get entertainment like that online.
