Oh please. When has the $20-$40 EVER been less than *VERY* good?
Even with Barry, Huay, Todd, Ralph and Ernie[1] in the game, it
was still always VERY good.
It seems, if possible, better than I recall it ever being.
Yeah, I hear you. I just can't count the number of nights Bruce Hayek
would be staying at our place (then just 1.5 miles from GC) on a Friday
night, and he'd stumble in just as we were getting up for breakfast
(we = JK, myself, and Bruce's wife who'd been semi-awake in the guest
room waiting for him to come home) and he'd say,
"JK, you can NOT believe how GREAT the game was last night..."
Ditto on the nights JK and I would be meeting friends at the restaurant
for dinner and JK would drop by the floor for a moment "just to have
a look." And every time he'd come back to our table and say the same
old thing...
And I guess I forgot Bill Miller in my list.
For every Bill, Barry and Huay there was a Chrisb, a Ryan, and a Jerry.
(Not "Friday Night Jerry" in the $10-$200 -- the other one who was always
wearing headphones.)
A trustworthy source claims to have beaten that game steadily for 2.5
big bets an hour for over a year. How much better can a game be?
-k.
