Not exactly. In Nevada the games are raked as a percentage which
means if the structure discourages action and people actually play
that way, there's little or no money being dropped, and the casino
ends up losing money on the beer. By contrast, Bay 101 would like
nothing better than for everyone to play rock tight, especially with
the shuffling machines. In that sense taking the blind off the
button was in effect a price increase. I have no idea if anyone
actually plays tight in those games, though.
